About the company
From humble beginnings as a small pop-up shop in Chelsea, we have since blossomed spectacularly on to the floristry scene as ‘floral engineers’, carving ourselves an outstanding reputation as one of London’s most innovative and fashion forward floral design studios, with strong roots in sustainability.
We are best known for curating dynamic and experimental yet harmonious masterpieces for some of the UK’s leading luxury brands.
As floral engineers of the future, we seamlessly blend the artistic and creative with the ethical and sustainable to deliver an exceptional, holistic customer brand experience. We will curate your event and turn your wedding, private dinner, corporate party or a small event into a spectacular and unforgettable memory.
We have experience doing events outside the UK.
At Blooming Haus, we are aiming at reducing our impact on the planet by participating in environmental and sustainability initiatives and most importantly, sharing these strategies with our clients and everyone we work with.
As waste sent to landfill is not only polluting but also has impacts on our environmental as well as climate change, we have decided at an early stage to ensure that all of organic waste is composted rather than sent to landfill. Plant material, flowers, soil and other materials we work with are our major source of waste and it is all sent to a composting facility. We also avoid using materials that are not compostable, such as floral foams, and opt to use floral frogs, mesh and organic structures as well as dry plant material that we can reuse. Carton boxes and all other recyclable packaging in which we receive our supplies are recycled. Our team ensures that no waste which can be recycled, recovered or composted is sent to landfill.
We source as many local flowers as possible from local, small suppliers. Many of our suppliers also use organisations such as the Soil Association and the Rainforest Alliance which quality-check the supplies and gives them a ‘seal’ of approval regarding the ethical production and sourcing of the flowers brought.
With every wedding, business or venue we work with, we intend to extend our sustainability initiatives to our customers. As many studies and organisations have highlighted, tree planting is one of the key initiatives in the fight against climate change. We collaborate with organisations such as the National Forest and the Woodland Trust in order to not only give a meaningful gift back to our customers but also reforest our woodlands and forests. We dedicate a tree to all organisations and clients we work with to be planted within The National Forests to protect and restore biodiversity. This, we believe, will also encourage everyone else to do incorporate similar strategies in their corporate social responsibility framework.
Our studio is also supplied with green energy. Also, from the summer, our fleet of vehicles will be fully electric thereby reducing emissions and participating in the fight to improve our cities’ air quality.
Finally, Blooming Haus will start to participate in carbon offsetting programmes. We do believe that in order to have a positive impact on the world, both environmental and social issues need to be addressed. Many platforms such as the United Nations Carbon Offset Platform provide a list of projects worldwide, ranging from tree planting, to wind farm funding and provide more energy efficient equipment to poorer populations.
Last but not least, we clean our studio and tools sustainably and hygienically using no harsh chemicals, thereby reducing these reaching our waters and affecting aquatic ecosystems. Instead, we turn to probiotic cleaning products, with a bacterial flora, which not only ensure cleanliness but also leave no chemical residues. When we leave our studio after a long day of work, the beneficial bacteria fight all the harmful bacteria and viruses, as well as dirt and grime and leave our surfaces clean and keep us, our employees and the environment safe. We believe sustainable initiatives must be holistic. There is no one solution, or one initiative that fares better than the other. That is why our team is always looking for different initiatives to implement. Trees absorb and store carbon, investing in more renewable energy for our operations reduces emissions, and cutting our carbon footprint from waste and transport are all thresholds which we continuously strive for.
We believe we all have a responsibility to do everything we can to fight climate change, as this phenomenon poses the biggest threat to our ecosystem, nature, and the world we live in.
"I knew Blooming Haus was the right choice of florist for my wedding day from the moment I met Michal. He seemed to know exactly what was required. His intuition is clearly born from great expertise and knowledge as well as a pure passion for flowers. Finally , on our wedding day everything was as I had imagined - from the personal flowers , to the wedding cake decorations and the centre pieces for the event space. The team at Blooming Haus were wonderful to deal with from beginning to end. They consistently went the extra mile with Michal hand-delivering the bridal flowers on the morning of the wedding. Thank you Blooming Haus for helping us to have a 'dream come true' wedding."Alison S.
"We couldn’t fault anything about Blooming Haus. From the first meeting we knew that everything was going to look so beautiful and we were definitely right. The flowers were the most beautiful we’ve ever seen and all our guests commented on how they amazing they looked. The guys made the whole process so easy and we had full trust in their designs. We would 100% recommend Blooming Haus!"Meg and Doug
