Describe the best party you were involved with?

One of the most visually stunning parties we've done was an 18th at a beautiful estate in Hertforshire. Our client came to us with the perfect summer party brief! ‘We would like a bohemian, festival-style theme with a marquee, yurts for staying over, bars, food, a DJ and cocktails.’ So that’s when we started getting excited. First stop, a local Tipi company provided a stunning 4 hat Tipi for 120 guests. A family business and super easy to work with, this supplier is very experienced as one of the first companies in the UK to establish themselves in the market. Next stop Wild Hare Events – a lovely lot that provides gorgeous glamping all around the UK for festivals and parties alike. With the stage set, we then added the detail. With some 3-day eventers for Great Britain amongst the guests, the client thought a rodeo bull would be a great way to test their skills! One of our caterers helped us to serve up a gorgeous buffet service with roasted lamp, Hasselback potatoes and salads to die for. Dessert was served as light bites on carousels on the table afterward. Always smiling, and always mixing the best drinks our guys provided the mixology with panache. We even had one of the world’s greatest Flair Bartenders in our midst – the great Oliver Deak who has a meagre 139k followers on Instagram! Stealing the show were Fake Tan Band! Always a winner, we had great difficulty keeping the guests off the stage as they rocked and bopped the night away to a medley of covers till 2am. Just in case they hadn’t had enough to eat, Dough & Deer - our pizza Landrover- joined us at 11.30 pm to serve 80 warm and delicious pizzas from their super cool Landrover Pizza oven. It’s a thing of great beauty and was just perfect for the countryside setting. Yummy! ‘We all wanted to express our enormous gratitude to you and your team for making our party such a huge success. You and your team are completely brilliant. The cocktails, level of service, attitude- we cannot fault it. All of the adults commented on how you are the best team they have come across. Everything you did and your interaction with all of the guests was just superb. Please accept our apologies for the slightly over-exuberant youngsters! We hope to work with you again in the future.’

Do you provide for smaller budgets?

Yes we do. For the lower budgets, we have a really easy-to-use web service. Just shop from our website, add everything to a quote and we'll send everything to you. That said - call us!! You are not alone. These are big decisions and we know you need help, guidance and of course, reassurance. The point is - no more dealing with multiple suppliers, we've got a really innovative service that provides the key elements to any party. Food, drink, coverings, entertainment, furniture - you name it. Pop it in the basket and we'll send it all to you.

What's our style?

Sugar & Rind is all about the chic and the creative! Philly (The Founder) takes a keen interest in each and every job, no matter how big or small the party. She assesses your brief and puts together the right look and feel for you. For us, it's all about understanding what the client has in their mind's eye and making it happen, just as they'd like it to, within the confines of the budget.

Have you organised any VIP or celebrity parties?

We have. But we don't march around shouting about it firstly because that would be a bit uncool (!) and secondly, because we pride ourselves on our discretion.

What's your number one top tip?

Our number one top tip is to make sure that YOU trust us to run your party brilliantly for you. That way you can enjoy your party more than anyone else. As long as the host or hostess is having a ball, the rest will follow on behind and it's sure to be the best party ever!
