About the company
We’ve trained for your day. 14,000 hours and counting!
Understated or decadent, for 28 or 2,800, our team deliver. Never happier than working with creatives who trust us to thoughtfully design, boldly bake and carefully deliver the very best for your invited guests. Our cakes, sweet treats and favours are found across the UK. We've worked with English Heritage, KPMG, Aardman Animations, The Dorchester and West End theatre productions to name a few. We’re all in when it comes to a party.
The craftsmanship of our pastry chefs has been captured on Ch4 (Julie Walters Coastal Railways, 4 seasons of Extreme Cake Makers), BBC1 (The One Show, BBC Breakfast, BBC News), Food Network (The Big Bake) and in print in Huffington Post, The Telegraph, The Times and more.
Reputation aside, at our heart, we’re a creative family business who love celebrating people! We bake and design with flavour first, and always YOU in mind.
Our very best wishes in all your wedding planning.
Christine & Phil
We have experience doing events outside the UK.
As we're surrounded by incredible farms and dairies, wherever possible we buy and pick local, foraging our own wild elderflower, and blackberries in season for syrups and jams.
We value our people, their time, and the skills they contribute to the health and well-being of the business. Our staff are paid a real living wage.
5% of our profits are given to charity.
Definitely our New York adventure in 2018. [Otherwise known as 'The magician, the gymnast, and the levitating kosher cake!' ] We generally hear about our weddings when the Thank You card drops through the letterbox, but in this case, we were all-day chaperones to the cake and got to see the wedding first hand. Our team had been contacted by an extraordinary young magician who'd seen we'd made a cake levitate back in 2015. [yes, ACTUALLY levitate]. Naturally, he and his gymnast coach fiancé wanted a slice of that for their wedding day. The cake bit is our favourite, but making the top tier float is tricky. Not a lot of cake makers on Earth have managed it. We're one of them. After 5 months of planning and design, our team arrived in a chilly New York, with 14 days to create our nearly 3,000 flowers and leaves! As the technical component is particularly...well, technical, our floating cake expert also flew in to oversee final proceedings and on-the-day setup. The cake did exactly what the couple wanted it to, wowing the guests with its explosion of sugar flowers and mind melting, head scratching levitating genius. Our custom design provided something genuinely magical as a centrepiece to the celebrations; a top tier hovering in mid air, gently spinning under the spotlight. However, our very favourite moment was when the dancing began, and the enthusiasm of the party took over. The entire floor of the venue began to gently move up and down, and so too did the floating top tier, dancing with them, joining in the merriment. We'd never seen it do anything like that before. Heart stopping for our team, but a brilliant, joy-filled memory we'll never forget.
We've had the honour of designing and making cakes and baked treats both for people who prefer their privacy, and for those who are in the public spotlight. Our bakes have been enjoyed by TRH Prince Charles & The Duchess of Cornwall, Dame Julie Walters, Rick Stein, Sue Perkins & Mel Giedroyc, Dame Esther Rantzen, Carole Vorderman, Olga and Alex Polizzi, Oliver Payton, Jerry Mitchell, Peter Lord & David Sproxton, among many other happy (but private) cake enthusiasts. [We've also been chosen by companies such as KPMG, English Heritage, Aardman Animations, Brides Magazine, The Wedding Gallery, Princes Yachts, The Langham, The Dorchester, Queens House Greenwich, The Institute of Engineering Technology, Waterstones, Childline, Confex, The Grand Appeal, and other business clients who’ve entrusted us to craft the perfect sweet addition to their corporate celebrations.] We do like a good wedding. Particularly when it’s organized by people who value good cake. We’ll happily delivery to well crafted celebrations with or without an NDA.
We deliver anywhere. If someone values good cake, they can trust us to deliver it safely and smoothly. It’s what we do. In the last decade we’ve delivered from Lands End to Kings Lynn, from Edinburgh to Eastbourne, from Aberystwyth to Newcastle, and internationally to Toronto (Canada), New York (NY), and Bordeaux (France). So in short...yes indeed we can deliver to your wedding.
Our ingredients are sourced wherever possible from fabulous growers, farms and dairies in Cornwall. It’s not a sales pitch, you really can taste the difference. We offer a short list of popular classic flavours (fabulous flavours your guests will still recognize after a couple of glasses of wine), alongside a recipe development service - should you wish us to recreate that gorgeous cake you had on that mini-break to Cyprus*. [*Yes. That really happened. 2 hours of research, 9 bakes & 3 tastings later, success!] We love creating cakes that are as unique on the inside as they are on the outside. So if you don't see your favourite on the list, just ask and our pastry chefs will do the rest!
We send cake samples anywhere in the UK by overnight post. Meaning, you can enjoy a trio of cake flavours with your morning coffee or afternoon tea once we have your sample order booked into the diary and paid for (£40). Once you’ve enjoyed your Peboryon cake samples, one of our pastry chefs will call to discuss your thoughts, answer your questions, and find out how we can best help in delivering the important flavour and design details for your wedding cake. Please note. We don’t have magical elves that do our baking through the night. We’re less Amazon, more Saville Row. This means we’d be delighted to make your cake dreams come true by diary arrangement. Good things genuinely do come to those who choose craftsmanship over quick click. So pick up your phone, email - or send a carrier pigeon if you prefer - let’s book your cake sample order into the diary today.

Our kitchen is a working kitchen, so we have visitors by appointment only during off peak season. However, as we’ve had a few guests with cameras over the years, you can watch us in back episodes of Ch 4’s Julie Walters Coastal Railways (Cornwall episode), 4 seasons of Extreme Cake Makers (Ch4), The One Show (BBC1 : Royal Wedding Special), and The Mel & Sue Show (with Alan Davies & Ken Hom). In spring 2020 you'll be able to have a peek at our new studio and kitchen in an upcoming episode of Ch4’s Amazing World of Cake.
Part of our design process is to make sure your cake and dessert table items look their best. Having set up rather a lot of cakes in our time, we’d be delighted to discuss all the details to make sure yours fits perfectly into the style and feel of your day.
"Jimmie and I wanted to send over a thank you for the lovely wedding cake. It was beautiful, and tasted amazing! They served the cake around midnight, and it went soooo fast... I'm quite sure some people took more than one piece... Thank you so much for the work you put into designing & creating the cake for us."Jimmie & Jenny - Hotel Endsleigh
